Upton Country Park – Poole Quay – Hamworthy Park
Suited to half or full day renters.
This tour takes you around the edge of Holes Bay, Poole Harbour. You will get to enjoy beautiful Upton Country Park with its Grand House, Wildlife, Tearooms and Playparks. Then onwards on the trailway around the edge of the harbour toward historic Poole Old Town and Poole Quay and finally you will travel back to Rockley Park via Hamworthy Park (on the edge of the harbour) with its beach and Playground.

Difficulty Rating: Easy – This is the shortest and easiest of our routes with only very little riding on the road.

This is the longest of our 4 routes. Your first stop on this tour is Upton Country Park with its Grand House, Wildlife, Tearooms and Playparks. Then you follow the former ‘Roman Road’ towards Wimborne. This track was originally built by the Romans to link the trading port of Hamworthy with Bradbury Rings. This long straight trailway has now been adopted as a dedicated walking and cycling path. This beautiful path is shaded by trees and borders the protected healthland of Upton, an SSSI with a wide array of Wildlife. The path continues almost all the way to the historic town of Wimborne Minster (dating back to Pre-Roman times), with its gracious Minster Church, and picturesque location on the banks of the rivers Stour and Allen.
After a stop in the beautiful Minster Town town for shopping or lunch, head back via the trailway to Upton Country Park and then onwards to Poole Quay via the Old Town and finally back to Rockley via Hamworthy Park.

Difficulty rating: Medium – Suited to cyclists who are confident to deal with a short section of road (0.5 km) without a cycle path that is the final approach into the town of Wimborne Minster.
Poole Quay – Sandbanks – Hamworthy Park
Recommended for full-day renters. Can be combined with the Mystery Tour.
A faster more direct route to beautiful Sandbanks.
You will travel through Hamworthy park along the edge of the Harbour and then over the bridge into Poole Quay. After the quay you continue the tour around the edge of the harbour picking up the road into Sandbanks and follow it over Evening Hill to Shore Road at Sandbanks. After spending some time on the lovely white sandy beach at Sandbanks you will head back to Rockley Park via Hamworthy Park with its beach and Playground.

Difficulty rating: Medium – Suited to cyclists who are confident to deal with a 2.5km section of road cycling. Please note most of the road has a cycle path but there is a short section 0.2km without a cycle path.
